The prophet foresees the emergence of the Servant who will not be like other figures who intend to rule. He will not be brash, ostentatious, vain or self-promoting (think on some of the candidates for high office in our own country). In other words, God's man does not fit the traditional mould, he does not embody characteristics that are more or less expected in kings and politicians. On the contrary he is gentle. Rather than steam-roll any or all before him, he relates with enormous care and delicacy to weak, fragile human beings.
