It is amazing how men and women have fashioned guile and betrayal into such an art form. The very aspects in which we exceed other animals in sophistication and finesse-- speech, intelligence, ideas and values--we use as weapons against each other. With what marvelous insight the Scripture analyses the human psyche. Unless mastered by our Maker, we are superb--but dangerous.
