This magnificent promise should not be taken to mean that believers--unlike other mortals--will, by divine intervention, be preserved from all moral imperfections. Rather it is a hymn in praise of God who, through Jesus, holds his people in the bosom of his love, from which place of safety he will never let them go. For men and women to be without fault before the divine presence is beyond their possibility. They have to be 'presented' thus. And HE is able.
