In their prayers, Pharisees often thanked God that they were not born a woman. Here, however, they are invited by Jesus to enter into the thinking of God by imagining him a woman, desperate in her search for a missing coin. God values what we do not. He invests much of himself in people we might think are not important. And he is not ashamed of them.
