No parent can expect to sow goodness in a child's life if she is kind only if the offspring is careful not to be a disappointment or an embarrassment. No teacher will be seen as successful if he favors only his A grade students. No government is worthy of office if it fails to govern justly for all its citizens--including the ones who did not vote for it.
There is goodness and blessing in the world only insofar as men and women begin to approximate the God who is good to everyone, regardless.
