"Even youths grow tired and weary . . . . But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not grow faint" (Isaiah 40:30,31).
Weariness is human; even for those in their youthful prime. We all need to learn ways to replenish ourselves. Eating and sleeping are excellent resources available to most. But physical languor is not our only form of depletion. Perhaps even more debilitating is weariness of spirit. The world is a hard place and many are worn out through sorrow or discouragement. We need more than what we amount to, to live successfully. It is a fact borne out in the lives of millions, that the inexhaustible resources of God's personality can refurbish men and women who know and trust him.
