The spectacular success of the scientific method has convinced many that the scientific enquiry is the most reliable--if not, the only--way to know what is real; that there is no reality apart from that which can be encountered through scientific rationalism. But what if there is another way of knowing? What if there is spiritual reality accessible only by faith? Ironically, those who are sure that there is 'only matter' cannot use science to demonstrate it. They have to resort to something like faith.
