Do not be terrified by them
July 27, 2016
"Do not be terrified by them or I will terrify you before them. Today I have made you a fortified city, and iron pillar and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land--against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests and the people of the land"(Jeremiah 1:17,18).
As God's messenger, Jeremiah is advised that as he need not be afraid of any man, nor the highest religious and civil authorities in the land. The world in its wisdom always ranges itself against the gospel, but its witnesses are impregnable. All Christians are ministers of the gospel. It is a high duty; a sacred privilege which will end in triumph. None should regard it lightly.
