"How can you say we are wise, for we have the law of the Lord . . . ?"

The law, the 'teaching', was given to the children of Israel by God. It was meant to help them to be the people God intended them to be; help them walk in God's ways. But they misused it. Instead of submitting to the law and letting themselves by possessed by it, they claimed it as their possession. What do we do with the 'teaching' which has been given to us? Do we use it to signify our own wisdom, or do we permit ourselves to be owned by the gospel?
