This was God's message to the exiles in Nebuchadnezzar's Babylon. Perhaps they heard it with a degree of cynicism. They had been taken captive to a foreign land. It did not 'seem' as if God was interested in their future. But it was precisely because of his desire for their good, that God had permitted their captivity. Whatever my difficulty or misfortune, God is using it to give something wonderful.
