"And no one after drinking old wine wants the new, for he says, 'The old is better'&quo

Jesus does not encourage us to think that the old paths are best simply because they are old. He just knows that humans are distrustful of change; they would prefer to stick to what they have always believed. Jesus, in fact, tells us that our hope lies not in the old, but the new. By calling our attention to himself, he invites us to the 'daring' of faith. He takes us out of our comfort zone, beyond our safe thresholds--into the exhilarations inherent in his moral compass.
