"Because I live, you also will live" (John 14:19).

Jesus makes this statement immediately after he assures them of the gift of 'another comforter' the Holy Spirit. As humanity's firstborn, all that Jesus is to God and all that he receives from God he shares with all his brothers. His unqualified life in God is of such sufficiency and moment that it has immediate repercussions for mankind. With Jesus we are safe today, tomorrow, and forever.
