God's reign in the world is established through one person--his Son; expanding incrementally throughout the earth through the cooperative agency of his disciples. As God's beloved, Jesus shares his spirit with believers; equipping them to "do what I have been doing." These words are not a promise of extraordinary powers, but a description of duty.
